For those who were around the forum three years ago you may remember me buying a set of wheel arch flares for
the Santy but after I fitted them I didn't like the difference in colour and after trying a few things to get a paint match I removed them and gave up.
These had been lying under my bed since I removed them but last week I decided to give them another try since the front wing of the Santy got badly scratched
by a little vandalising git along the street and it was being repaired anyway.
I gave the Santy into a body shop last week along with the arches and he managed to get a decent match. The only bit I still don't like is where the arch meets the bumper but because the slanted bit of the bumpers look more silvery that the flat bits it's the best I will ever get it.
The Body shop fitted them to the motor with some sort of sealer so hopefully they will stay on.
I think now they are back on and the Santy has a better looking front grill and its windows tinted it looks
fantastic. I will be changing the wheels to wider ones in the couple of months or so but due to what these cost to paint and fix I am skint so wheels will need
to wait.
She even passed the dreaded MOT yesterday so happy days.
