Not sure if anyone won, but I know for sure the deer lost. The Santa Fe on the other is still a debate to be solved by the insurance claim guy in the next couple of days.
Going about 30 - 35 miles an hour I hit a 6 point buck. I didn't know what happened. I thought something flew out of my hubbies truck and hit me, but after I was escorted out of my Santa Fe there laid the Deer. Who I might add was a popular guy, EVERYONE wanted to take him home!
My daughter who was in the carseat in the back and I are fine. However, My poor Santa Fe has seen better days. The windshield and drivers window are shattered. The roof about 12 inches back to the windshield are scrunched, the rearview mirror was in the back seat. The hood is scratched and both drivers side doors are also dented.
Don't know if they will total my 6-month old baby or fix her. But either way I will either get a new Santa Fe or keep and love my original Santa Fe. All in all she held up great! Could of been a lot worse if the roof collapsed. She protected me and my daughter well. In the end that's all I could really ask for. After all that happened when I got out of the car she did have the zap in her to shock me just to show me she was still kicking!
