Hi again,
we just had the first drops of snow today. I am living south of Munich on the countryside very close to the Alpes and we usually get the real winter! Snow is always that bad, that they are putting 5feet-poles on both sides of the streets in a 50m-distance in late October, otherwise we wouldn't be able to find the way through the fields after fresh snowfall. I will post some new snow-pics in my Santa Fe calendar (www.klostermaier.de/santafe) later the month.
Due to the snow-situation in my area it is usually mandatory to have winter tires. I received my SF by October 27nd. I wanted to have the winter tires moounted right on delivery, but the dealer said, that it would be rather unlikely that I needed them, as the summer tires are brand new and the traction control of the vehicle is excellent. I couldn't believe it, but decided to wait for the first snow and decide then.
Any experiences with summer tires in the snow so far??
Andreas
