Hey guys,
Its been a while since I've been on here and damn, I missed you guys.
I helped a buddy of mine replace his pads and change the rotors on his 05 2.7 AWD on Friday and with two small exceptions everything went smooth.
I started in the rear and the first rotor we attempted to remove wouldn't budge. Five pound mallet, deadblow hammer, nothing would make it move. Started wondering was I missing something like a retaining bolt or needing to use a jack bolt like some of the older cars I've owned. After about two hours of banging on this bad boy I needed some advice. I called Kevin at Hyundaii Accessory Mall and he was more than happy to help. Just keep spraying it with WD40 and whack away, no retaining bolts (other than those two usless screws) and no jack bolt. It finally came off and the rest of the brake job went smooth.
Once again the guys at Hyundai Accessory Mall have come to the rescue, they are great.
Mike
