Here's a short story. My driver side mirror cracked back in November and wasn't covered under warranty. So I had it replaced for $90.48. Half was the cost of the mirror and half of it was installation costs. Then last Friday night, I went to get in my car and noticed that someone stole my mirror! The mount was still there but the actual mirror was jacked off! I was pi**ed because I just had it replaced! So I decided to go to the dealer today and told them that it fell off and they didn't see any damage to my mirror housing but only decided to cover the installation and I'd have to pay $45.28 for the mirror. Grrr... Then while I was there I also picked up a cabin filter which cost $37.40. I know I probably could have gotten it cheaper from partguy but since I was there... Next time I'll order it instead.
EDIT: Just installed the filter! Its like 82 degrees outside today! Thanks to TS's instructions.... only problem I had was that I could not remove the two 10m bolts because they were screw in so tight! I could have used a ratchet instead of my screw driver and 10mm attachment but I also tried it with my cordless power screwdriver and that couldn't even unscrew it! Other than that, it took me about 15mins to get done. To fit the filter in, I had to put it in in two pieces. Luckily the filter detaches so I stuck the bottom piece in first followed by the top. Reattaching the cover was also rather difficult and required a lot of force! But in the end... another successful mod! Time to enjoy fresh air! Pollen is at an all time high now and I'm sneezing like crazy!!
