Ok so I bought 20- 24 led bulbs (10 red and 10 amber #1157) off ebay (I bought this many because that's how they were sold and it was cheaper than buying 2 bulbs at a time from superbrightleds.com). The red ones work great for the stop light. However, for the turn signals... I get weird results. As you know leds use less power than regular bulbs and they have a warning that some cars may not work with leds because of this. So here's the scenarios
Front Signals- Regular bulbs
Rear Signals- Leds
Result: Blinks normally when hazards are turned on. Blinks super fast if using left or right signal (as if a bulb was burnt).
Front Signals- Leds
Rear Signals- Leds
Result: Nothing works at all. When you turn on your headlamps, both signal lights emit on the instrument panel but the actual leds don't light up front or rear.
So my conclusion is that the santy doesn't like leds for signals. Too bad because they looked really nice when I had the hazards on. Is there any way around this to get them to work? Any ideas?
