Hello there and Welcome!
There are no "bad" things with the SantaFe.
I created that forum, as you know, sometimes, minor problems occur as with ALL vehicles, mechanical, electrical, upholstery, and miscellaneous, etc... Since the SantaFe is so new and still is, not many owners can get together and discuss their Santa Fe's on the internet.... I created this forum with you in mind!
Many members here have all benefited from preventive maintenace tips, to alerts, or miscellaneous mishaps that sometimes occurr, again, as with all vehicles.
The SantaFe is an excellent buy, reliable, dependable, very safe, and absolute fun to drive! As you look around, members can posts their problems or "fix-its' here usually before they go to their dealer...for one, if they know the problem, members help each other out with their solutions, resolutions, etc...in turn, the owner goes to their dealer well-informed and ensures that their SUV will be well taken care of.... I understand your concerns, as I had them when considering a Hyundai!
As a Cadillac guy, I took a chance on the SantaFe have have LOVED IT!
Remember you have the best warranty, and the best looking small-sized SUV out there!. Don't be alarmed with other peoples problems as most of them are isolated ones for a few, but not the majority...hence we all help one another. Look around you'll find 100's of other car forums, and each one will have thier problems posted...be skeptical if you DON'T find them, like the Ford Escape folks!
Terri35 one of your Moderators here, benefited from members input on her probelm with the SantaFe....NOW her SantaFe runs like a gem!
Same here. I had a problem, fixed it, and then I posted the prognosis and resolution here, and others have benefited from my experiecne as well.
My expertise
So, relax, enjoy yourself around here, and ask as many questions as you like...most of all, rest assured 99.9% of everyone here LOVES their SantaFe, and that miniscule 00.1% that have had their problems, have resolved them....
Cheers!
