My advice, put on the snow tires anyway, if you're not limited to your budget. I normally head up to the mountain, and any snow depth level exceeding 1 foot definitely needs the snow tires, and snow chains. It doesn't matter whether or not you have traction control and ABS. You need as much precautionary actions and accessory as possible.
