Thank you for letting me know the spark plug part ID. That is really going to help save a lot of time. Cool I already record it in my list.
Deal/Money:
The dealer just want to have a deal to make money! Most of my friends are Auto Mechanic and I know exactly what the dealer is doing.
30,000 mile tune up cost $400:
Sorry! Sorry! No! No! Not for me! Basically just change Oil/Oil filter, Air Filter, maybe transmission fluid, Differential fluid and spark plugs, and some other minor one. $400 is really nothing to me but I rather enjoy doing all of this myself because they look very easy to me.
60,000 mile timing belt:
All please! The Celica I used to have change at 100,000 miles. Now-a-day technology is very different. Basically you just have to check to see if they are still look good or not. Surely I can tell you that the timing belt still going to look good at 60,000 miles. It really all depend on people driving condition. Look at the timing belt to see if there is any line-crack. If you see a lot then time to change. I just saw mine a few days ago. ***Perfect like new**. Also it is look very easy to change too. Turning the wheel and go underneath and remove the plastic cover surround the timing belt and work at it. There is a timing chart stick on the top of the hood when you open it.
Tool:
Torque wrench! Yes you basically need the torque wrench but I have it or otherwise I can borrow it from my friends.
Replace gasket:
No you really don't have to but inspected require! I have not even seen this gasket problem on the first spark plug change in any car yet.
Removing Vacuum hoses and bleeding fuel line:
As for my experience working on my old car before. I see the spark plugs have nothing to do with removing vacuum hoses and bleeding fuel line. These are a different part. It is nice to inspect and learn from it...
Beside:
I won't change my spark plugs until when I turn on the ignition and it does not start-up the way it was now. You basically can feel it just need to experience it.
