To me it's a "peace of mind" type philosphical issue. If you are the nervous type thinking that your car may break down and cost you more than you could afford to get it fixed AND having this EW "insurance" than it might be for you, IF you keep your vehicles for a long time.

I personally prefer to take the small risk myself. I minimize the risk by properly maintaining my vehicles, and taking care of any little noises before they can become real problems.

I also have faith that the Sante Fe is well built and the dealer will honor the standard warranty.

And finally, I prefer to feed MY children rather than the car dealer's kids. My dealer mentioned the extended warranty but said it proabably wasn't for me since I was trading in a two year old car and (he thought) I didn't keep my vehicles for very long.
