Hi everyone
Mike Terminator wrote, that he noticed an increase of fuel economy after installing the air filter. I was a bit sceptical about that, but...
HE IS RIGHT!!!
With a full fuel tank I was able to drive about 550km. (no Autobahn-full-throttle-trips included) Usually after this distance, the orange lamp in the fuel gauge will light up and tell me that Im running out of gas. When I drive on the Autobahn it will light up even earlyer.
This was before the mod.
With the air filter mod I visited my parents, which is a trip of 175km (single way). To get there I have to drive on the Autobahn and I go as fast as allowed or as possible - not very economically but a lot of fun
.
Before I drove back home, I refueled the car. Now, 550km later, the fuel gauge needle isnt even close to empty!!! And this includes 175km Autobahn (you remember - as fast as possible or as allowed ==> ~200km/h
)!!! The needle is just under the last thin line of the fuel gauge and I am quite sure to reach over 600km with one tank now. I just cant believe it - including Autobahn!
I think all of you already noticed that Im very excited about the results of the mod.
The car accelerates and responds slightly better, it sounds like a v-8 engine (no joke - you turn heads with this sound) AND it needs less fuel than before!!!
Thats what I call a nice mod!
Ill tell you more when the orange light comes up...
