Ok well my buddy and I have the same year and modle SantaFe, 2.7 V6 GLS, his has 2000 more miles then mine, we both use Mobil 1, and have the strut bar from TFR, also a K&N oem drop in replacement filter, everything else is stock, so we decided to do some StreetRacing on the country roads, over by our house, off the line we are both side by side, all the way to the end, we did about 5 runs, all the same, we were still side by side, then went back to his garage, and we decided to do the intake mod on his truck, so we took off the the silencer box, and we put a K&N cone filter on it, put it back on the truck, started it up, it did sound very sweet, so we went back out, to the same spot, lined them up, and we were off, we were side by side in first gear, but second gear I started to pull away, and third his front bumper was lined up with my back bumper, and forth and started pulling away even more, we did about 3 runs, disapointed with the results, went back to his garage and put everything back how it was, decided to go back out one last time to see, and ran side by side, since we don't have a real dyno place that is near by, we did it like that, so we have decided that the Hyundai SantaFe stock intake system with a K&N drop in oem replacement filter worked better then the mod, I really thought it would be faster, give it a little more power, but it lost power, well let me know what you guys think.
