hey all,
i thought that somewhere on here I saw a part # for a K&N drop in filter for the santa fe, but I can't find it. Does anyone know what (or if) filter fits the santa fe. Thanks |

thanks, i ran a search on that number, and it says it is only for the 2.0 and 2.7 engines. does anyone know if the airbox is the same between the 2.7 and 3.5.

It's been awhile but IIRC there was no K&N filter for the 3.5 which, again, IIRC, is a different filter. I may be wrong but the old memory cells seem
to think that's the way it was.

Part # for 3.5 is K&N Air Filter Part 33-2312. Hope this helps

I've used them in, not one, but two cars. I couldn't feel any appreciable gain in power or fuel economy.
If the K&N filter has lower restriction to air flow, it wouldn't be noticeable until the engine is pulling its maximum volume through the filter, which would be in the upper 25% (or thereabouts) of its RPM range. And how many of us run over 4500 RPM for more than a few seconds at a time? IMHO, it's a waste of money. Too much spent for too little gain, if any.
