Posts: 652 (03/07/09 06:49:10) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None I know a lot of you take great pictures....and I was wondering if you could give me some advise on purchasing a simple but good quality printer at thome to actually print some ........I have a Lexmark right now and pictures do not come out as clear as I would like them........Here you have a reason why I haven't been here lately.......................life is outdoor !!!!!!!!!!!!! Picture taken at Le Massif in the Charlevoix area last thursday....................what you see in the back ground and is unique to North America is the St-Lawrence Seaway...............What a day it was.....................learning to post picture in here...............a bit different from EZ Board................What did I say ???? Posts: 1748 (03/07/09 11:25:44) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Hi FFL, I don't take a lot of pictures to print at home but I just recently bought a Kodak ESP-3 all in one printer. I printed a couple when we first got it and I'm pretty sure there is a learning curve with it which I haven't taken the time to learn. The software is pretty good that comes with it and I just found out I didn't load it all so I was missing a pretty nice program which I have not tried. My wife prints a lot of cooking stuff and it prints very well for that but what is really great is the ink. Under $10.00 bucks for Black and $14 for color. It use's pigment ink so the pictures don't fade as with the HP I had. It also prints many more prints than other printers. And the price for the machine itself was $99 bucks at Wally World. Take a look at their site or watch the info commercial when its on. I think its a great machine for the money. We find the photos we want and put them on a zip drive and go to a Kodak picture kios and print from there. I will probably try printing at home again but it works great the way we do it now. They do a fantastic job but the draw back is the expensive inks. I had HP's for years and decided to try Epson a few years back and was amazed at the photo printing. The inks are in seperate tanks. Some models have 6 colors and others 4 depending on what you want. The 6 color models are for printing photos mainly. Sometimes you can find reconditioned ones on Epson website at greatly reduced prices. Hope this helps.. Blusf02

Cost is the same as doing them yourself. Even a monkey falls out of a tree once in awhile. KC

The warranty is the same as the new ones. It comes with ink cartridges that cost more than the printer. I use a CISS ink system that saves me lots of money. The CISS system is sold at: http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/ Tech support is great [it's the only one I know of who calls you back]

I have found that If I need to print 4X6 or 5X7 then it is cheaper just to upload them to walmart photo and pick them up in the store. But anything larger than that I use my Hp Photosmart 7960. You can still get this printer on ebay for around $50 and it prints Awesome pics! Gopack36
